Revelations Counseling LLC is a private practice located at 8100 E. 22nd St. North, Suite 2300-3, Wichita, KS 67226. The practice is operated by John Ormiston, MSW, LSCSW, CCATP, a licensed specialist clinical social worker and certified clinical anxiety treatment professional who brings over sixteen years of mental health clinical experience to his work with clients across the Wichita area.
The practice provides counseling for adults, teens between the ages of 13 and 18, and couples. Ormiston’s therapeutic approach is described as eclectic, drawing from multiple established frameworks to match the individual needs of each client. Treatment modalities include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Interpersonal Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, and Family Systems techniques.
Clinical specialties are extensive and include depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, grief and loss, divorce, adjustment disorders, unresolved childhood trauma, stress management, relationship concerns, communication difficulties, conflict resolution, anger management, behavioral issues, domestic abuse, self-esteem, self-harming behaviors, suicidal ideation, parenting challenges, infidelity, premarital counseling, and spirituality. Sessions are conducted in-person at the Wichita office. The standard 50-minute session fee is $185.00, payable at the time of service by major credit card, personal check, cash, or Health Savings Card. Payment is due at the time of service. A 24-hour cancellation policy applies, and missed appointments are charged at the full session rate of $185.00. In-network insurance plans accepted include Cigna, UnitedHealthcare, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Aetna, Medicare, and ComPsych for EAP clients. Out-of-network benefits are available for clients whose insurance is not listed, allowing reimbursement through their own plan.
