Music Therapy Practice – Healing Harmonies
Healing Harmonies is a music and art therapy practice based in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, providing services across Milwaukee, Waukesha, and surrounding counties. The practice was founded and is directed by Erica Flores, MT-BC, a Music Therapist Board Certified through CBMT. The clinical team includes additional board-certified music therapists and art therapists holding master’s degrees; all practitioners are either fully licensed or supervised by registered art therapists. Both individual and group sessions are available, depending on client need and population.
The practice integrates music therapy and art therapy to serve a diverse range of client populations across multiple settings. Children and adults with physical and developmental disabilities receive services described as targeting improved mobility, life skills, social skills, and self-confidence through creative therapeutic engagement. Clients with behavioral and mental health needs, including those managing depression, anxiety, substance abuse, and obsessive-compulsive disorder, are served through both modalities. Elderly clients living with neurodegenerative conditions such as Alzheimer’s disease and Parkinson’s disease receive sessions designed to support engagement and memory stimulation as part of their ongoing care. Hospice care patients and their families are also among the populations served, with the practice providing spiritual support and assistance with anxiety reduction during end-of-life care.
Sessions take place across multiple settings: the Wauwatosa clinic location, as well as area schools, hospitals, care centers, and client homes. The multi-setting delivery model allows the practice to reach clients who may not be able to travel to a central office, including those in residential facilities or receiving home-based care.
Healing Harmonies states its guiding values as compassion, humility, integrity, and respect. The practice also actively recruits music therapists, art therapists, and clinical supervisors, and offers internship placements for professionals in training, positioning itself as both a direct-service provider and a site of clinical education and workforce development within the region.
