Principles Counseling Group, LLC is a mental health counseling practice headquartered in Alburnett, Iowa (PO Box 391, 52202) with operations based in Cedar Rapids and licensure throughout the state of Iowa. Sessions are available seven days a week from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM in both in-person and online formats. The clinical team includes nine therapists: Dr. Treye Rosenberger, who specializes in serving the LGBTQIA+ community and building resilience; Doreatha Page; Danielle McWilliams; Shelly Stewart Sandusky; Valeo Khan-Snyder; Heather Thomas; Kristine Taylor; Tanya Goad; and Sarah Hosack. Individual therapy is available for adults 18 and older, while minor therapy serves clients ages 8 to 17. Couples therapy and family therapy are also offered as part of the service lineup. In addition to therapy, Principles Counseling Group conducts assessments for ADHD, OCD, eating disorders, gender dysphoria, and career-related challenges. This range of assessment services extends the practice’s scope beyond standard counseling to include diagnostic and evaluative work across multiple specialty areas. Initial assessments are part of the intake process for new clients beginning individual, couples, or family services.

Insurance accepted includes Blue Cross Blue Shield, Aetna, United Healthcare, Optum, Carelon, Medicaid, Magellan, Cigna, Health Partners, Iowa Total Care, and ComPsych. Average copays for insured clients are estimated at approximately $15. The practice also accommodates clients without insurance coverage.
