Counseling Practice – Blank Slate Therapy

Four offices in the North Dallas corridor anchor Blank Slate Therapy: locations in Frisco, Southlake, McKinney, and Lewisville, Texas. The group practice was founded by Rebecca Houser, LPC-S, RPT-S, who established it with the stated goal of providing client-centered, growth-supporting environments for children, adolescents, and adults.

The clinical team spans multiple license types, including psychologists, Licensed Professional Counselors (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists (LMFT), and Licensed Clinical Social Workers (LCSW). Named clinicians on the practice site include Dr. James Bishop, Michael Bodenheimer, Dr. Juan Chen, Christine Charles, Jennifer Jobe, Alison Rhodes, Leslie Wood, Adrian Colon, and Dr. Judy Rambur, among others. Bilingual services in Spanish are available.

Services offered include individual counseling for adolescents and adults, couples therapy, family counseling, child counseling, group therapy, and play therapy. Evidence-based treatment modalities in use include Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and play therapy interventions appropriate for younger clients.

Clinical specialty areas include anxiety, depression, PTSD, OCD, grief and loss, abuse, parenting concerns, life transitions, ADHD, and LGBT counseling. Sessions are available in-person at any of the four locations and via telehealth for remote clients across the state.

Insurance accepted by the practice includes Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, Humana, United Healthcare, Tricare, and multiple Employee Assistance Program (EAP) plans. Flexible Spending Arrangement (FSA) and Health Spending Account (HSA) funds are accepted. Self-pay arrangements are available for clients without applicable coverage.
