Counseling Practice – Destination Therapy

Destination Therapy is a private-pay counseling practice with an in-person office at 3730 Kirby Drive, Suite 204, Houston, TX 77098. Telehealth services are provided to clients in Texas, California, Utah, Massachusetts, and New York, extending the practice’s geographic reach across five states beyond the Houston area.

The clinical team includes four licensed clinicians and one graduate intern. Monique Dunn, LCSW-S, serves as Founder and Therapist. Tabitha Durr, LMFT, holds the Lead Clinician role. Kedian Dixon, LMHC, LPC, and Carolina Romero, LPC, NCC, also serve as therapists. Tyrion Austin is a Graduate Student Intern in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and provides reduced-rate therapy to eligible clients.

Services offered include individual therapy, couples therapy, EMDR therapy, sex and intimacy therapy, premarital counseling, and group therapy. The practice’s group offering, called Thrive Tribe, is listed among available services. Spanish-language therapy is available through the clinical team. Specialty areas include anxiety, depression, burnout, eating disorders, perfectionism, and religious trauma. Therapy for female executives is identified as a distinct service focus. Affirming care is provided for LGBTQ+ clients and BIPOC populations.

The practice operates on a private-pay model and does not bill insurance directly. Superbills are provided to clients seeking out-of-network reimbursement through their insurance carrier. Reduced-rate therapy is available through the graduate intern placement for eligible clients. A free matching consultation is offered through the intake process to help prospective clients identify the most appropriate clinician within the team based on specialty, availability, and presenting concerns.

The practice describes its clinical approach as anti-racist care that attends to intersectional identity dimensions, with a stated orientation toward ambitious adults navigating anxiety, burnout, relationship stress, trauma, and identity-related concerns. Spanish-language therapy is available through the clinical team, and LGBTQ+ and BIPOC affirming care is explicitly stated as a practice commitment.
