Counseling Practice – New Hope Counseling
New Hope Counseling is based in Glen Allen, Virginia, at 10134 West Broad Street, Glen Allen, VA 23060, in the West End area near Cox Road and Broad Street. The practice is led by Misty R. Davis, MS, LPC, who holds more than 23 years of professional counseling experience. Her background includes prior work at Yale University and in psychiatric hospital settings. Davis earned a Master of Science in Counseling from Southern Connecticut State University, a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Chemistry from Cedar Crest College, and completed post-master’s counseling training through the VCU School of Medicine. New Hope Counseling is licensed by the Virginia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services as a provider of Intensive In-home Services.
Services include individual, marriage, and family therapy using evidence-based treatment approaches. Additional offerings include support groups, life coaching, LPC supervision for counseling residents, EMDR therapy, consulting and training for community-based providers, and QMHP staff development services.
