Dr. Smith earned his doctorate from the University of Washington in 1981 and has been providing clinical services since 1983, accumulating over 40 years of practice experience. He holds credentials as a Clinical Fellow and Approved Supervisor with the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy and is a Registered Premarital Preparation Counselor for the state of Florida. Prior to his private practice work, Dr. Smith served as a social work professor for 40 years at the University of Wisconsin and Florida State University, and as Clinical Director at Honeylake Psychiatric Clinic.
