Clinical Social Work Practice – McKenzie Comprehensive Therapy
McKenzie Comprehensive Therapy is a clinical social work practice based in Eugene, Oregon, operated by Lorraine McKenzie, MSW, LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker). The practice has been in operation since 2012. McKenzie is also an approved Oregon LCSW Supervisor, authorized to offer individualized clinical supervision plans to CSWAs (Certified Social Work Associates) pursuing full licensure in Oregon. Free 15-minute consultations are available for both prospective therapy clients and clinicians seeking supervision.
The practice serves adults aged 18 and older within a neurodiversity-affirming clinical framework. McKenzie’s approach examines all aspects of a client’s life, including sleep, nutrition, social interactions, emotional and physical well-being, and spiritual dimensions, rather than focusing narrowly on presenting symptoms. This holistic orientation shapes the assessment and treatment process across the full range of clinical areas served by the practice and informs how goals are identified and prioritized with each client.
Clinical focus areas include autistic adults, social anxiety disorder, depression, trauma, OCD, psychosis, schizophrenia and other psychotic disorders, and insomnia. McKenzie describes particular interest in supporting adults on the autism spectrum and helping clients navigate life transitions and career exploration. Services include individual psychotherapy and clinical supervision for licensure candidates. Both in-person and telehealth session formats appear to be available for eligible clients.
Insurance plans accepted include PacificSource Commercial, PacificSource OHP, Providence, Regence Blue Cross/Blue Shield, ComPsych, MODA, Kaiser First Choice, and OHA Open Card. Approximately 25 percent of the practice’s caseload is reserved for Open Path Therapy Collective clients, who access services at a sliding scale rate with a $59 lifetime membership to the collective. This arrangement is listed as an accessible option for clients who lack insurance coverage or need reduced-cost services. McKenzie’s long-term engagement with the Eugene community since 2012, combined with her neurodiversity-affirming approach and breadth of clinical focus areas, positions the practice to serve a wide range of adult presentations in Lane County and surrounding Oregon communities.
