Counseling Center – Chrysalis Center for Counseling & Eating Disorder Treatment
Established in 2003, Chrysalis Center for Counseling and Eating Disorder Treatment operates from 3240 Burnt Mill Drive, Suite 1, in Wilmington, North Carolina. The center describes its mission as “restoring hope, empowering change” and has served individuals and families in the greater Wilmington region since that founding year.
The multidisciplinary care team includes licensed therapists, registered dietitians, and medical providers who collaborate within a unified treatment model. Services offered include individual therapy, intensive outpatient programming (IOP), group therapy, psychiatric services, nutritional counseling, and nutrition support groups. The center describes its care as “individualized, evidence-based” and delivered within a “supportive, collaborative environment.”
Two distinct intensive outpatient programs are listed on the site: one focused on eating disorders and one on trauma. Both IOP tracks incorporate combined individual therapy and structured group support. Psychiatric services at the center include medication management provided alongside therapy. Nutritional counseling and nutrition-focused support groups are offered as integral components of the care continuum rather than as adjunct services.
Treatment populations described on the site include trauma survivors, individuals with eating disorders, LGBTQIA+ clients, and those with perinatal mental health concerns. The center accepts insurance and offers self-pay options for those without coverage.
All services are offered in-person at the Wilmington location. Office hours run Monday through Thursday 8 AM to 6 PM and Friday 8 AM to 4 PM; the center is closed Saturday and Sunday. New clients are asked to complete intake forms prior to their first scheduled appointment. A patient portal is available for established clients to manage their care and communicate with the clinical team.
