Counseling Practice – Arkansas Counseling and Wellness Services
Arkansas Counseling and Wellness Services was established in 2015 and operates three clinical offices across the state, with locations in Fayetteville, Bentonville, and North Little Rock. Telehealth services are available statewide in Arkansas and extend to Missouri as well. The practice is led by Dr. Kristy Burton, PhD, LPC-S, AADC, MAC, SAP, CS, NCC, who serves as owner and clinical director. The broader clinical team includes 17 licensed counselors and interns.
Individual therapy services address anxiety, depression, life transitions, and grief. Couples and family therapy is offered utilizing Emotionally Focused Therapy and family systems approaches. Trauma-informed care includes EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and Brainspotting. All telehealth services are delivered through HIPAA-compliant platforms.
The practice provides a range of court-approved programs, including a Domestic Violence Intervention Program (DVIP), anger management classes, substance abuse education, and theft prevention training. DOT Substance Abuse Professional evaluations are available. Clinical supervision for counselors working toward licensure is offered, and the practice provides continuing education through the Hope Builders Clinical Training Collective, which holds NBCC ACEP #7353 status.
Populations served include adolescents, adults, older adults, trauma survivors, individuals with addiction concerns, court-referred clients, and mental health professionals seeking supervision. The practice accepts several major Arkansas insurance plans and offers self-pay arrangements. A free 15-minute consultation is available for prospective clients.
