Counseling Practice – Downey Park Counseling Associates

Established in 1977, Downey Park Counseling Associates has been serving the Central Valley of California for decades. The practice maintains offices in Modesto at 1213 Coffee Road, Suite P, reachable at (209) 527-8943, as well as a Turlock location. The Modesto office is open Monday through Saturday, 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM.

The clinical team includes multiple licensed professionals: David Abeyta (AMFT, APCC), Gricelda Juarez (APCC), Mike Klemin (LMFT, CSAT), Eric Miklusicak (LMFT), Chris Oneth (LMFT), Lynette Stime (LCSW), Jesus Robles (AMFT), Sylvia Victor (LMFT), Veronica Valencia (AMFT), Carissa Groen (LMFT), and Christopher Oneth (LMFT), among others.

Services include individual therapy, couples therapy, and family counseling. Specialized modalities offered include EMDR for trauma processing and CSAT (Certified Sex Addiction Therapist) for sexual addiction treatment. Presenting concerns addressed include depression, anxiety, trauma, PTSD, abuse, relationship difficulties, infidelity, AD/HD, bipolar disorder, and grief and loss. Populations served include individual adults, adolescents, children, couples, and families. Spanish-language services are available at the practice.

Sessions are conducted both in person and via video telehealth. Biblical counseling is offered at special rates for clients seeking a faith-integrated approach alongside traditional clinical services.

Insurance plans accepted include Anthem Blue Cross, Blue Shield of California, Cigna, United Healthcare/Optum, Oxford, Aetna, UMR, Magellan, and Health Plan of San Joaquin (Medi-Cal). Good Faith Estimates are provided for uninsured and out-of-network clients in accordance with applicable requirements.
