Psychology Practice – Berks Counseling Associates

Since 1992, Berks Counseling Associates has operated from 1150 Berkshire Boulevard, Suite 250, Wyomissing, Pennsylvania 19610. The practice describes its work as providing person-centered evaluations and therapy in an affirmative, supportive, and caring environment. Office hours are Monday through Thursday, 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM, and Friday, 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM.

Clinicians at the practice include Alison L. Hill, PhD, the director, who is a Licensed Psychologist (since 1994) and Licensed Professional Counselor (since 2003); Laura M. Fritts, PsyD, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist; Nikol L. Jackson, MSW, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Certified Family Trauma Professional; and Albert V. Pohl, M.Div., a Licensed Professional Counselor and Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor.

Therapeutic modalities offered include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Play Therapy, Trauma-Focused Therapy, EMDR with bilateral stimulation, Structured Family Therapy, Relational Therapy, and Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT). Services cover individual therapy, couples therapy, family therapy, and group therapy. Populations served include children, adolescents, adults, families, and couples. Clinical specialties encompass trauma, depression, anxiety, sexual abuse and victimization, domestic violence, LGBTQ concerns, grief and loss, parenting, attachment and bonding issues, and substance abuse.

In addition to therapy, the practice conducts psychological evaluations including cognitive ability and personality testing, trauma and mental health assessments, attachment and bonding evaluations, spinal cord stimulator psychological evaluations, psychosexual and emotional abuse evaluations for children and adolescents, and substance abuse assessments. Both in-person and virtual sessions are available for both therapy and evaluation services.
