Counseling Practice – Harbor Valley Counseling
Harbor Valley Counseling is located at 3208 50th St. Ct. NW, Suite 103-A, in Gig Harbor, Washington 98335. The practice is staffed by two licensed mental health clinicians. Kathy Pregnall, MA, LMHC, CMHS, CCTP holds a Master’s Degree in Psychology Counseling from City University of Bellevue and is credentialed as a Washington State Licensed Mental Health Counselor, Child Mental Health Specialist, and Certified Clinical Trauma Professional, with over 25 years of professional experience. Erin Hohol, MA, LMHC holds a Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology from City University of Seattle and is also licensed as a Washington State Mental Health Counselor.
Services include individual therapy, play therapy, parent coaching and education, reunification therapy, marital and couples therapy, and family therapy. The practice serves children ages 5 and older, adolescents, adults, couples, and families, along with first responders and veterans. Presenting concerns addressed include depression, anxiety, trauma and PTSD, grief and loss, self-harm and para-suicidal behavior, school-related problems, behavior disorders, anger management, and relationship conflicts.
Clinical approaches used at the practice include Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), guided imagery relaxation techniques, and family systems therapy. Both in-person appointments and virtual telehealth sessions are available. The practice also maintains collaborative community partnerships as part of its broader clinical work, and Kathy Pregnall’s Child Mental Health Specialist and Certified Clinical Trauma Professional credentials reflect a specific emphasis on trauma-informed and child-focused care.
Regarding payment, most state and federal health insurance plans are accepted for individual therapy services. Couples and marital therapy, as well as coaching services, are private-pay only and are not covered through insurance.
