Clinical Social Work Practice – Whole Hearts Counseling
Founded in 2018 by Tessa Slominski, MSW, LCSW, and Alexia Fregoso, MSW, LCSW, Whole Hearts Counseling is a clinical social work practice located at 409 West Main Street, Suite D, in Belgrade, Montana. Both clinicians are certified Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) therapists, and the practice centers its clinical work on evidence-based treatment for young children and their families.
Whole Hearts Counseling provides individual therapy, family therapy, and PCIT, a structured intervention model tailored to children ages two through seven who present with emotional difficulties, challenging behaviors, and trauma histories. Additional evidence-based approaches used by the practice include Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Circle of Security, Theraplay, the ARC model, and Promoting First Relationships.
The practice serves children who display attention-seeking behaviors, hyperactivity, aggression, anxiety, and depression, as well as those with autism and ADHD-type presentations. Whole Hearts Counseling works with a broad range of caregiving relationships including parents, foster families, adoptive families, grandparents, and extended family members. The practice accepts referrals from Child Protective Services, pediatricians, schools, and childcare centers.
Sessions are available both in-person at the Belgrade office and via telehealth through a secure, HIPAA-compliant application. The practice accepts most major insurance plans including Medicaid, CHIP, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Pacific Source, Cigna, Allegiance, Lyra, and Employee Assistance Programs. Free consultations are offered to new families.
Beyond direct clinical services, Whole Hearts Counseling provides mental health consultation to childcare centers and delivers parenting education and teacher training programs. The practice emphasizes early intervention and evidence-based care for the youngest and most vulnerable clients.
Office hours are Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The practice is closed on weekends. Contact: phone (406) 388-2725; email tessa@wholeheartscounseling.com or alexia@wholeheartscounseling.com.
Belgrade is a growing community in Gallatin County adjacent to Bozeman, and Whole Hearts Counseling serves families throughout the area who are seeking specialized support for young children’s behavioral and emotional health. The practice’s dual-founder model provides continuity of care across two certified PCIT clinicians. By incorporating home-based service options alongside office sessions, the practice extends its reach to families for whom travel or structured office settings present barriers.
