Counseling Center – Community Christian Counseling of Terre Haute Indiana

Operating in downtown Terre Haute, Indiana since 2003, Community Christian Counseling serves West-central Indiana and East-central Illinois with individual and couples counseling grounded in a biblically informed approach. The center describes its mission as providing “biblically sound, confidential, and financially accessible counseling to individuals and families.”

The clinical team includes six providers with a range of credentials and specializations. Jim Evans, PhD, MHA, works with adults, couples, college-age clients, and minor males through both office and distance sessions. Ann Hogue, PhD, serves women and couples in office and distance formats. Stephanie Nelson, MA, offers distance-only counseling for adults and couples. Elizabeth Sanchez, PsyD, MS, works with women, teens, and minors through distance and in-office appointments. Mark Strahm, BA, MA, sees adults, couples, and college-age clients in both formats. Jennifer Lewis, MSW, LCSW, CSAYC, provides counseling for adults and minors in office and distance settings.

Clinical areas addressed by the practice include depression, anxiety, pornography and sexual addiction, premarital counseling, career transitions, parenting skills, childhood behavioral concerns, anger, bitterness, family conflict, abuse recovery, substance abuse, divorce care, grief, health-related life changes, and faith crises. The range of presenting concerns reflects the center’s generalist orientation alongside its faith-integrated framework.

In addition to individual and couples counseling, the center also offers financial coaching services as a supplementary resource for clients managing economic stressors alongside personal concerns.

Sessions are available in-person at the downtown Terre Haute location and through distance or virtual counseling, allowing clients across the service area to access care remotely. The practice notes that its fee structure is designed with financial accessibility in mind, though specific insurance details are not listed on the homepage. The center underwent an ADA-compliant entrance renovation to improve physical access.

The center can be reached by phone at 812-244-0400 or by email at info@cccth.org.
