Heart & Soul Counseling Center, LLC serves clients from two Kansas locations: 250 N. Rock Road, Suite 300 L, in Wichita (67206), and 10628 West 87th Street in Overland Park (66214) in the Kansas City Metro Area. The practice is led by Monica Turner, MSW, LSCSW, LCSW, RPT, who holds a Master’s Degree in Social Work, a second master’s in Organizational Development, and master’s-level education in Marriage and Family Therapy.
The practice provides therapy for children ages 6 to 17 and women ages 18 to 65. Treatment modalities include art therapy, play therapy, sand tray therapy, Theraplay for child-parent centered relational work, CBT skills training, and DBT skills training. Clinical areas addressed include anxiety, adoption, behavioral issues, bipolar disorder, codependency, depression, divorce, family conflict, learning disabilities, LGBTQ+ concerns, PTSD, racial identity, relationship issues, sexual identity, spirituality, stress, trauma, and women’s issues. The breadth of focus areas reflects service to clients navigating both acute concerns and longer-term relational and identity challenges.
Both telehealth and in-office session formats are available across both locations. The practice is described as welcoming all backgrounds and life experiences, with explicit outreach to BIPOC communities. A faith-based or Christian spiritual perspective is offered for clients who choose to incorporate that orientation into their care. A free 15-minute consultation is available to prospective clients prior to committing to an intake appointment.
Accepted insurance includes Aetna, Ambetter, Blue Cross and Blue Shield, Sunflower Health, KanCare, United Healthcare, Optum, Medicaid, Medicare, and TRICARE. Self-pay is also accepted.
