Counseling Center – New Hope Counseling Center
New Hope Counseling Center is located at 2572 W State Road 426, Suite 2008, in Oviedo, Florida, and serves the greater Orlando community through a range of clinical mental health counseling services. The center’s team of nine clinicians spans multiple license types and credential levels. Licensed Mental Health Counselors on staff include Jonathan Duckett, David Bolaños, and Julia Lloyd. Alan Bruns holds licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, and Dr. Sarah Lawson serves as the center’s School Psychologist. Registered interns rounding out the clinical team include Lizette Bonilla, a Registered Marriage and Family Therapist Intern; Kirstin Lalka and Sharika Johnson, both Registered Mental Health Counseling Interns; and Michele Merchant, a Registered Social Work Intern.
Services at the center include individual therapy, couples counseling, family counseling, child therapy, group therapy, and psychoeducational evaluations. Treatment modalities listed on the site include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, EMDR, and play therapy. Both in-person and virtual counseling sessions are available to clients.
The center addresses a wide range of specialty areas: anxiety, depression, PTSD, autism, ADD/ADHD, social anxiety disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder, anger management, self-esteem, women’s and men’s issues, teen and adolescent therapy, child therapy, parenting coaching, pre-marital counseling, faith-based counseling, personal addiction counseling, career counseling, and life transitions.
Insurance is accepted from select commercial carriers, including Aetna, Florida Blue Cross Blue Shield, United Health Care and United Behavioral Health, AvMed, Oscar, and Cigna. Self-pay arrangements are offered, and a limited number of sliding scale rates are available for qualifying clients. Office hours run Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM.
