Counseling Center – The Willow Center

Established in 2016 in Maumee, Ohio, The Willow Center has expanded into a multi-location mental health practice serving Northwest Ohio and Southeast Michigan. The practice added a Bowling Green location in 2020 and an Oregon, Ohio location in 2024. Three offices currently operate: Toledo at 5565 Airport Highway, Suites 100 and 203; Bowling Green at 440 East Poe Road, Suite 202; and Oregon at 715 S. Coy Road, Suite C.

The clinical team includes 35 therapists, 5 relationship specialists, 2 psychiatrists, and 3 psychiatric mental health nurse practitioners. The supervisory team collectively holds over 100 years of combined clinical experience. Immediate psychiatric appointments can be arranged for clients who require timely access to psychiatric evaluation or medication management services.

Therapeutic services span individual therapy, couples and marriage counseling, family therapy, group therapy, art therapy, and psychiatric services. Treatment modalities available include EMDR, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). Training affiliations include the Gottman Institute for couples work, the EMDR International Association (EMDRIA), and the Internal Family Systems Institute. Specialty areas include anxiety, depression, trauma, adolescent concerns, LGBTQIA issues, divorce recovery, parenting challenges, self-esteem, family conflict, and personal growth. The practice serves children, teens, adults, couples, and families. Both in-person and telehealth sessions are offered across Ohio, serving communities including Toledo, Bowling Green, Oregon, Perrysburg, Waterville, and Maumee.

The Willow Center has received the “Best Counseling Practice” designation in the Toledo City Paper “Best of Toledo” contest for nine consecutive years from 2017 through 2025 and was named a Toledo Blade Top Workplace in 2025.
