Counseling Practice – Keri Powell Therapy

Keri Powell Therapy is a multi-location counseling practice founded by Keri Powell, LCSW, serving Central Illinois for more than 15 years. Office locations include Champaign (main and downtown locations), Mahomet, Bloomington, Monticello, and Oak Brook, with statewide telehealth services available throughout Illinois. The broader clinical team holds credentials including Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), and Licensed Social Worker (LSW). Only fully credentialed clinicians serve clients across all locations and telehealth formats.

Services include individual counseling, couples counseling, youth counseling, and family counseling. The range of therapeutic modalities available across the practice is extensive: ACT, animal-assisted therapy, art therapy, CBT, Christian counseling, DBT, EMDR, ERP, Gottman Method, grief therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), mindfulness-based therapy, motivational interviewing, multicultural therapy, person-centered therapy, play therapy, pre-marital therapy, solution-focused therapy, strengths-based therapy, structural family systems therapy, Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI), and trauma-informed practices.

Populations and concerns addressed include addiction, ADHD, anger management, autism spectrum concerns, bipolar disorder, eating disorders, emotional distress, gender identity, grief and loss, LGBTQIA+ support, OCD, oppositional defiant disorder (ODD), personality disorders, pregnancy and postpartum concerns, relationship issues, religious and spiritual concerns, self-esteem, sexual trauma, and trauma and abuse.

Sessions are available in-person at any of the six office locations and via telehealth throughout Illinois. Insurance plans accepted include Blue Cross Blue Shield, Aetna, Carelon, Humana, Medicare, Optum, Tricare, and United Healthcare. Private pay and sliding scale fee options are also available. Online payment is processed through HealowPay.

Office hours at the main Champaign location run Monday through Thursday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM and Friday 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Hours at satellite locations may vary. Contact is available by phone at 217-352-0200 (fax: 217-607-1139). Scheduling and service inquiries may also be submitted through the practice website. The six-location footprint combined with statewide telehealth coverage positions the practice as one of the broader multi-office counseling networks in Central Illinois.
