Counseling Practice – Wise Mind Counseling
Wise Mind Counseling is a woman-owned practice serving clients at two Wisconsin locations: 321 Saint George Street in Green Bay, WI 54302, and 217 N. 4th Avenue in Sturgeon Bay, WI 54235, with virtual therapy also available to residents throughout the state. The practice has been in continuous operation since 2009 and is owned and led by Kim Marohl, a Licensed Professional Counselor who additionally holds the Linehan Board Certified DBT Clinician (DBT-LBC) designation, reflecting specialized, board-certified training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy.
The range of services includes individual therapy, couples therapy, family therapy, and parent therapy. The clinical approach draws on a set of evidence-based treatment modalities: Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Prolonged Exposure Therapy (PE), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), and Behavioral Activation (BA). The practice characterizes its care as individualized, collaborative, and compassionate, with all treatment grounded in an evidence-based framework.
Clinical specialties include anxiety disorders such as generalized anxiety, social anxiety, and panic disorder, as well as Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, Borderline Personality Disorder, and mood disorders. Sessions are available in-person at both the Green Bay and Sturgeon Bay offices, and via telehealth for Wisconsin clients who prefer to attend remotely.
Regarding insurance, Wise Mind Counseling is in-network with Prevea 360, Advocate Aurora employee health plans, and United Healthcare Medical Assistance HMO, which includes Badgercare coverage. Medicaid and Medicare are generally out-of-network, with the notable exception of United Healthcare Medicaid. Out-of-network clients pay session fees at the time of service and may submit claims directly to their insurance carrier to seek any eligible reimbursement.
New and current clients can schedule appointments through the client portal at kimmarohl.clientsecure.me. The practice can also be reached by phone at (920) 278-2620. The dual-office model reflects the practice’s geographic reach across both the greater Green Bay metropolitan area and the Door County peninsula region of Wisconsin.
