Mental Health Practice – Krista Verrastro
Krista Verrastro, MA, RDT/BCT (she/her), provides drama therapy, EMDR therapy, trauma therapy, and talk therapy from a private office at 301 Main Street, Reisterstown, Maryland. Services are available both in-person at the Reisterstown location and online to clients throughout Maryland and to clients located beyond state lines.
Drama therapy is a central modality at this practice. Verrastro holds credentials as a Registered Drama Therapist and Board Certified Trainer (RDT/BCT) and combines creative arts methods with evidence-based clinical approaches to help clients understand how past experiences shape present patterns. EMDR therapy is offered alongside drama therapy for clients working through traumatic material. Individual coaching is also available as a distinct service, designed for clients who are already engaged in ongoing therapy work and who wish to actively build toward future goals rather than continue focusing on processing the past.
Additional programming includes vision board workshops, presentations for outside organizations, clinical consultation, and supervision services specifically for drama therapists and other creative arts therapists. The range of offerings reflects the practice’s integration of experiential and creative methods alongside standard clinical work.
The practice serves individuals who have experienced trauma, abuse, and bullying, as well as people who describe feeling like they do not fit in or belong. Work centers on processing traumatic experiences, developing healthier and more satisfying relationships, and helping clients find and use their personal voice. The site describes the clinical approach as holistic and oriented toward creative methods that go beyond conventional talk therapy formats.
Verrastro operates with an explicit inclusivity framework, describing the practice as trauma-informed, culturally responsive, anti-racist, anti-oppression, LGBTQIA+ affirming, disability affirming, and neurodivergent affirming, with a stated commitment to serving individuals of all identities and backgrounds.
