Psychology Practice – Atlanta CBT
Atlanta CBT is a group of independently practicing clinical psychologists and CBT therapists with offices in Inman Park, Atlanta, Georgia, and the Fan neighborhood of Richmond, Virginia. Telehealth services extend to Georgia, Virginia, and more than 42 additional states through PsyPact participation.
Clinicians include Dr. Julia Buch Wamstad, Psy.D.; Dr. Beth Hammons, Ph.D., ABPP; Dr. Leah Farrell-Carnahan, Ph.D.; Dr. Nathan Mascaro, Ph.D., ABPP; Dr. Rochelle J. Holtzman, Ph.D.; and Heidi M. Wood, L.C.S.W. The practice is structured to maintain individual clinician independence within a collaborative group framework, with intentionally small caseloads.
Therapeutic services center on cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) applied to a range of conditions, including anxiety disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorder addressed through exposure and response prevention (ERP), insomnia, post-traumatic stress disorder, body-focused repetitive behaviors, depression, and substance use exploration. Additional services include adult ADHD assessment and therapy, parent training programs, and health psychology. The practice also offers group therapy.
Parent-focused programs include the SPACE protocol for families managing child and adolescent anxiety, and a separate offering for families dealing with “failure to launch” concerns in young adults. Sessions are conducted in person at both the Atlanta and Richmond locations, as well as via telehealth for eligible states.
The practice describes its clinical philosophy as emphasizing “psychological flexibility for meaningful living” and states a commitment to LGBTQ+ affirming and culturally responsive care.
New patient inquiries are submitted through an online intake form on the practice website.
